Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Magdalene Pivoine offers a free lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on our fine jewelry.
If you experience any damage to your purchase as the result of the manufacturing, please contact our customer service and may evaluate your piece. You will be ask to put $50 deposit before the shipment of your item to Magdalene Pivoine for evaluation. The deposit covers the shipping costs the item and an evaluation by our expert jewelers to determine if the damage is warrantied. We will refund the fee in full for all warrantied repairs. We also offer complimentary shipping back to the customer for all warrantied repairs. If your repair is not covered by our warranty, we will notify you with an estimated cost for you to approve before any repair work is performed. If you approve the repairs, your deposit will be applied to the total cost. If you do not approve the repairs, the deposit will be used to cover the return shipping charge after evaluation.
If a warranty issue is found, Magdalene Pivoine will repair the warrantied damage or replace the item without charge.
Please note that repairs or service performed by a jeweler other than Magdalene Pivoine authorized service will void the warranty.
This warranty excludes coverage for wear and tear, physical abuse, theft, loss of center gemstone, and damage caused by failure to obtain the proper repairs to preserve the integrity of the jewelry. Examples of issues not covered by our lifetime warranty include: precious metals worn over a long period (in particular, in delicate areas such as prongs) will wear thin over time and requires restoration as part of normal wear and tear; the loss of gemstone(s) caused by damage or wear and tear - such as prongs catching, wearing out, or being struck by force; change in metal color due to exposure to chemicals, make-up, or baths and swimming pools; and, ring warping due to improper fit.
Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:
- The discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, make-up, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
- Precious metals, and especially prongs, wear down over time and may require restoration work as part of normal wear.
- Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage, allowing a gemstone to fall out.
- The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.
Coverage also excludes damage or loss caused by a failure to obtain the repairs required to preserve the integrity of the jewelry.
We recommend the purchase of independent insurance for your Magdalene Pivoine jewelry. This will help recover damaged, lost or stolen jewelry, and any repairs that fall outside of our warranty.
